Generally, ultrawide business displays have an abundance of ports: at least one HDMI and one DisplayPort input, both upstream and downstream USB ports, and USB Type-C ports are typical. (Remember again that screen size is measured diagonally, not left to right.) A 49-inch ultrawide with 32:9 aspect ratio gives you a screen size equivalent to two 27-inch monitors put side by side. A 32:9 monitor is twice the width of a 16:9 monitor with the same vertical pixel count. These panels are also a good substitute for multi-monitor arrays. That software can go beyond what Windows' built-in tiling, snapping, and auto-resize features can do. Why? For starters, they let you open multiple full-size application windows on the same screen. A few manufacturers, Dell among them, include software to help you split the giant screen into neatly arranged windows. Ultrawide business monitors are a boon to multitaskers. Most ultrawide monitors, especially the biggest ones, have large, often V-shaped stands to support their weight and keep their wide chassis balanced. The 49-inch models tend to really pack in the pixels, with native resolutions of either 5,120 by 1,440 or 3,840 by 1,080 pixels at a 32:9 aspect ratio. Most have diagonal screen sizes of 34, 43, or 49 inches. In addition to their unique aspect ratios, ultrawide monitors are, as you could guess, physically wide. The first 21:9 monitors appeared in 2012, and 32:9 displays in 2017. The 16:9 ratio remains the most popular today. Within five years the desktop standard became a 16:9 ratio-the dimensions of a high-definition television (HDTV) image. Around 2005, monitors with a slightly wider 16:10 aspect ratio came into vogue, but their popularity was short-lived (although 16:10 laptops are now booming). Around the turn of the millennium, many monitors had a boxier 4:3 aspect ratio, which originally came from motion pictures (it's the standard aspect ratio of 35mm film). Though the current ultrawide wave is the most radical expression, computer monitors have gotten progressively wider relative to their height over the decades. Monitors with a 32:9 aspect ratio are sometimes called “super wide” or “super ultrawide.” We see them, however, as a subset of the ultrawide class, and we use the term ultrawide for both 32:9 and 21:9 displays. The latter is a more extreme example, more than three times as wide as it is tall. The two most common ultrawide aspect ratios are 21:9 and 32:9. Ready to shop for an ultrawide display? The first fundamental to understand is aspect ratio-the relationship between a screen's horizontal and vertical pixel count, i.e., monitor width and height. This is probably related to how impossibly complicated programming the mod would have been if every 1/16 block of liquid had independent fluid dynamics. Until you place a complete (16 x 16 x 16 bit) block of liquid, the liquid will not flow. Placing these liquid bits is exactly the same as placing normal bits except liquids do not behave like liquids unless you place a complete block. You can now right click on the Bit Tank with an empty hand to get liquid bits of the type which you put into the tank. Right click on a Chiseled Fluid Bit Tank with a bucket of any liquid to fill it with that liquid. The default durability is 7980, but the Bit Saw can be enchanted. The Diamond Bit Saw does have durability which is consumed with each use. To choose which orientation you cut along, move the Bit Saw around the block in the crafting grid. You can make half slabs (normal) or vertical half slabs (not normal!) out of any symmetrical block in the game. Place a Bit Saw in a crafting table with any symmetrical block to cut it in half. The Bit Bag comes in the base color, as well as 16 other colors. The bottom button, the condense and combine button, will combine any stacks of the same type which are not full. The button will ask for a second click for confirmation before permanent deletion. You can also click on this button while holding bits with your cursor to delete only the bits of that type in the bag. Pressing the top button, the trash button, will delete all bits in the bag. There are also two buttons in the top left. Here, you can see all of the bits you have inside your bag. When you right click with the Bit Bag in hand, it will open the GUI. Every time you pick up bits, they will automatically go into a Bit Bag in your inventory after they fill up one stack of that type. When you are building with a bit of a certain type and you have a Bit Bag with some bits of that type in your inventory, every time you run out of bits of that type, your Bit Bag will restock you from its supply. This means one Bit Bag can store 63 unique bit types, and a total of 129,024 bits. A single Bit Bag can hold 63 stacks of bits inside of it where each stack is 2048 bits (of the same type). To make holding all of your different kinds of bits a little easier, you can craft a Bit Bag. It is common when you start working with Chisels and Bits to accumulate a huge variety of bits in your inventory. Single Bit, Connected Material, Drawn Region, Same Material, Large Cube, Medium Cube, Small Cube, Connected Plane, Plane, Line, Grid-Snapped 1/2 Size Cube, Grid-Snapped 1/4 Size Cube, Grid-Snapped 1/8 Size Cubeīit bags can be used to store your bits. When you select bits in hand, text will flash on screen telling you what bit-placing-mode you are in. Alternatively, press and hold left alt with bits in your hand to see all of the modes available to you and access the undo and redo buttons, as well as the place/replace toggle button. Scrolling the mouse wheel while holding shift with bits in your hand will change your bit-placing-mode. Using these tiny blocks, you can create much more detailed builds than ever before. These bits can then be placed again in a different location in the world. If you right click anywhere on a block with a chisel, you will remove the bit you are looking at from the block and move it to your inventory. When you look at blocks you will notice a small cube outline at the exact point your cursor is looking at. To get started with Chisels and Bits, craft yourself a chisel (stone, iron, or diamond will work for now). No more are you limited to building with blocks of the same size Chisels and Bits breaks down each Minecraft block into a 16 x 16 of bits which you can use to achieve incredible levels of detail in your builds. Overall, this mod is probably the pinnacle of building mods, the level of customization it gives will definitely excite any building enthusiast. You don’t have to worry, though, because this mod also includes other tools that can help you build more efficiently. As such, you could make spheres, triangles, or any other shape you want.īuilding with this mod can be time-consuming, especially if you’re customizing a complex project. Next up, these mini blocks can then be stacked on top of another block to form a more unique shape. Assume you have a cobblestone block, you can target a single pixel, break it, and collect the broken piece into your inventory. This chisel tool can break individual pixels in a regular block. I drop in my homemade weed eater string and this thing absolutely rocks. It is the one the weed eater I use the most because it is so dang convenient AND extremely powerful. The next weed eater I recommend is the EGO 56V Multi-Head system. It’s for sale on Amazon for a pretty good price. In short, it is designed just like a gas-powered weed eater and has a super trusted name behind it (Makita) that has been in the battery-powered tool space for a LONG time. A ton of other Makita power tools you can use the batteries with.Three speed options (can help preserve battery life). It has the following accolades that make it a beast: The first most powerful battery-powered weed eater that I recommend is the Makita XRU15PT1 36V weed eater. Upgrade your weed eating game with the ultimate GrassKicker Weed Eater String! While weed eaters and lawn edgers are great tools, it’s not complete without the right string. When I put them to the test, It is usually a combination of power, handling, and ease of use that I evaluate. Tons of different gas-powered ones from folks like ECHO and battery powered and electric string trimmers that you’ve probably never even heard of. Needless to say, I’ve dealt with just about every type of weed eater you can use. When I moved into my house, I started using a battery-powered weed eater. I started with my gas-powered weed eater when I owned a landscaping company and used it as my go-to for anything involving trimming. The short answer is: I used both hundreds (if not thousands) of times. How I tested both gas and battery-powered weed eaters Today, I’ll break down my experience with both types of tools and which is the best for each type of operator. In all honesty, both are great options and have a bunch of pros and cons – so making a choice is personal preference. Yes, it is controversial and I get a lot of comments from folks (especially commercial landscapers), but I can’t deny reality. I own both a Stihl FS 56 RC gas-powered weed eater and an EGO 56V electric weed eater (among many, many others) and want to break down why I basically never use my gas-powered weed eater anymore. Gas and electric weed eaters are two tools that can accomplish the same task: putting the final touches on your yard that make it look amazing. This feature was missing in the Chinese Suanpan abacus, which made the calculations in the Chinese abacus a bit complicated. Unit rods to the left of the designated ones also aided in place values by denoting the groups in the number, such as thousands, millions, etc. These dots are the Unit Rods and they represent the last digit of the whole number part of the answer. The Japanese abacus has a small white dot present every three columns once. The Japanese abacus has 4 beads on the lower deck while the Chinese abacus has 5 beads on the lower deck. The Chinese abacus has two beads on the upper deck. The Japanese abacus has only one bead on the upper deck. The Japanese abacus is the Soroban Abacus. But there are a few striking differences between them both. The Japanese abacus is an influenced version of the Chinese SuanPan abacus. Remembering the exact position of the beads helps in the mid-brain activation as well. It helps to increase their concentration, focus and sharpens their memory skills. Owing to its simpler design, the Japanese abacus has a lot of benefits for people who practice it. This abacus can be learned and practiced easily by children and adults. Memorizing the number of beads along with their placements makes mental calculations much smoother, using this device. This device makes mental math easier as well. The simplicity of this device makes it the most effective one when it comes to calculations. The Japanese Abacus Designĭid you Know? The Japanese abacus was also used for decimal calculations. The main reason for the widespread usage, fame, and popularity of the Soroban abacus is Trade. It was the Japanese merchants who made it famous. Until the 17th century, the Soroban abacus was not widely used. Though the Japanese abacus influences the Chinese abacus design, the number of beads on the lower deck is similar to that of the Roman abacus. Cheng Da Wei- the inventor is worshiped as the God of Arithmetics till date in Japan. The Japanese abacus is a heavily influenced version of the Chinese abacus. The Soroban abacus was invented in Japan in the 14th century.

Infinite streams cannot be stored in memory, and since generators produce only one item at a time, they can represent an infinite stream of data. Generators are excellent mediums to represent an infinite stream of data. Generator implementation of such sequences is memory friendly and is preferred since it only produces one item at a time. This is an overkill, if the number of items in the sequence is very large. Memory EfficientĪ normal function to return a sequence will create the entire sequence in memory before returning the result. Since generators keep track of details automatically, the implementation was concise and much cleaner. Now, let's do the same using a generator function. The above program was lengthy and confusing. Following is an example to implement a sequence of power of 2 using an iterator class. Generators can be implemented in a clear and concise way as compared to their iterator class counterpart. There are several reasons that make generators a powerful implementation. Here, we have created the generator object that will produce the squares of the numbers 0 through 4 when iterated over.Īnd then, to iterate over the generator and get the values, we have used the for loop. # iterate over the generator and print the values Squares_generator = (i * i for i in range(5)) The generator expression creates a generator object that produces the values of expression for each item in the iterable, one at a time, when iterated over.Įxample 2: Python Generator Expression # create the generator object Here, expression is a value that will be returned for each item in the iterable. Generator Expression SyntaxĪ generator expression has the following syntax, (expression for item in iterable) It is similar to a list comprehension, but instead of creating a list, it creates a generator object that can be iterated over to produce the values in the generator. In Python, a generator expression is a concise way to create a generator object. We can also create a generator object from the generator function by calling the function like we would any other function as, generator = my_range(3) The for loop iterates over the generator object produced by my_generator(), and the print statement prints each value produced by the generator. The yield keyword is used to produce a value from the generator and pause the generator function's execution until the next value is requested. In the above example, the my_generator() generator function takes an integer n as an argument and produces a sequence of numbers from 0 to n-1. # iterate over the generator object produced by my_generator # produce the current value of the counter Here's an example of a generator function that produces a sequence of numbers, def my_generator(n): Instead, it returns a generator object that can be iterated over to produce the values. When the generator function is called, it does not execute the function body immediately. Here, the yield keyword is used to produce a value from the generator. In Python, similar to defining a normal function, we can define a generator function using the def keyword, but instead of the return statement we use the yield statement. Generators are useful when we want to produce a large sequence of values, but we don't want to store all of them in memory at once. In Python, a generator is a function that returns an iterator that produces a sequence of values when iterated over. |
